This year, Pose Photo Booths had the incredible opportunity to be part of one of New Westminster's most exciting and cherished events— the Hyack Fireworks Festival On August 24th ! We couldn’t be more grateful to have been a vendor at this vibrant event, adding a unique experience for attendees who came to enjoy the festivities.
For those unfamiliar with this historic event, the Hyack Fireworks Festival has been an essential part of New Westminster's community for over half a century. Organized by the Hyack Festival Association, this festival is much more than just fireworks—it’s a celebration of history, community spirit, and New Westminster’s lively culture. The event includes a variety of activities, such as live performances, parades, and of course, the dazzling fireworks display that lights up the night sky.
The festival was founded in 1971, and its name, “Hyack,” reflects the city’s early roots when the Royal Engineers were stationed in New Westminster and would sound a "Hyack" (or "hurry") call to alert the town. Today, the festival brings together people from all over the Greater Vancouver area to celebrate togetherness, fun, and heritage.
This year, Pose Photo Booths set up our Tower Photo Booth and 360 Video Booth and the response was amazing! We loved watching festival-goers of all ages, from families to groups of friends, strike their best poses, snap memorable pictures, and capture fun 360-degree video clips. The energy at the festival was electric, and it was clear that people loved having the photobooth experience as part of the event.
With so many people dressed up for the festival, holding onto their freshly popped popcorn, and getting ready for the fireworks, the photobooth became a popular spot to capture the moment. Our wide range of props and custom backdrops added to the fun, allowing attendees to unleash their creativity and take home a keepsake from this special day.
At Pose Photo Booths, we are always looking for opportunities to bring joy and excitement to local events, and the Hyack Fireworks Festival was the perfect fit. We are so thankful to the Hyack Festival Association for organizing such a spectacular event and for allowing us to be a part of it. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces, hearing the laughter, and knowing that we contributed to making memories at this beloved festival was truly rewarding.
The Hyack Fireworks Festival is all about community, and we couldn’t have felt more connected to the amazing crowd that came out to celebrate. Being able to share in the joy and fun of the day through our photo booths was an experience we won’t soon forget.
